Casas de Playa is a small gated community in La Pedrera (Rocha), facing Playa del Barco and a few blocks from the centre of the resort town. Its houses sit among coastal woodland and dunes, and several look straight out to sea. It is also marketed as «Único La Pedrera», described as a private community on the ocean. Photos in both listings show the same houses, the same tennis court and the same boardwalk to the beach.
The community has security, a tennis court and private direct beach access along a wooden boardwalk through the dunes. The sources reviewed do not give the total area, the number of lots or the developer.
In November 2024 an agent offered a 1,252 m² lot for U$D 95,000, with common charges of U$D 400. The houses inside are contemporary, some architect-designed, and several are let in the summer season.
It is an unusual option on the Rocha coast: a quiet, gated setting on the beach but within walking distance of the village restaurants. The data is sparse and comes from property listings, so it should be confirmed with the administration.
