La Tahona Golf Paysandú

La Tahona Golf Paysandú is the first project in Uruguay's interior by La Tahona, the brand known for its gated communities in Canelones. It lies on the outskirts of Paysandú next to the Paysandú Golf Club, in the Ruta 90 area, about five minutes from the city centre. It was launched in 2019 by the Añón family's LTI (Land Trust International) fund, designed by CM Arquitectos, with a cross-benefits agreement with the golf club.

The first stage covers about five hectares; 28 plots from about 950–1,000 m² are currently marketed. In 2019 plots were around U$D 55,000, in 2022 a 1,100 m² plot was listed at U$D 54,900, and in late 2025 a 946 m² plot was offered with financing at U$D 67,500. A turnkey option is also available from about U$D 1,350 per built m². The original announcement planned a second stage of another 25 hectares with lakes and over 100 plots, which is not part of the current offer.

The community has an entrance gate with wireless access for owners only, a gatehouse, 24-hour security with CCTV and an infrared perimeter barrier. Common charges (about UYU 3,000 a month) cover street lighting, upkeep of common areas, the gatehouse and water pumping. There is no club house of its own: social and sports life revolves around the neighbouring golf club.

Building is regulated: maximum site coverage of 20%, maximum height of 9 metres, 15 m front and 10 m side setbacks on the outer boundary, and designs approved by an architecture committee; at launch houses of 200 to 700 m² were planned. There is no mandatory building deadline. It suits Paysandú families looking for security and greenery close to the city.
