About
Huertas de los Horneros is a gated garden neighbourhood on Camino de los Horneros in Canelones, a short distance from the Interbalnearia highway and next to Viñedos de la Tahona, Pilar de los Horneros and Carmel. It was conceived as a housing scheme: a turnkey product of 189 detached houses on plots of about 500 m², in six one- or two-storey types with 125 to 145 m² of interior space.
The masterplan and architecture are by Gómez Platero; the developer is La Buonora & Asociados and the builder Norte Construcciones. Houses line curving, landscaped streets; at the ends of the blocks they form semicircles around small parks with a pool reserved for those homes.
The club house has a grill, lounges and an outdoor pool, complemented by tennis and padel courts, a residents-only cowork space with wifi, squares and playgrounds, a children's farm and the Club de Huertas with vegetable-garden, cooking, ceramics and painting workshops. Bicycles and electric scooters are available inside the community, and there are EV chargers.
Access is controlled, with 24-hour guards and cameras; roads are paved and the community has mains water, sewerage and fibre optics. In 2026 houses were listed at roughly U$D 439,000–565,000, with common charges of UYU 12,600–15,000 a month. It is aimed at families who would rather buy a finished house than build one.
