About
Lomas de la Tahona is the first gated community developed by La Tahona. It was created in 1994 and pioneered this kind of development in Uruguay. It covers 119 hectares on Camino de los Horneros (Canelones) with 385 lots averaging about 1,100 m², and is now fully built up.
The community is laid out around La Tahona's first golf course, an 18-hole layout that doubles as the back garden of many homes. It borders Cavas and Mirador de la Tahona. According to the developer, Carrasco airport is about 5 minutes away and downtown Montevideo about 30.
The Lomas branch of La Tahona Golf Club has a club house, La Galería restaurant, a heated outdoor pool with sun deck, playroom, barbecue area, driving range and putting green, a Technogym gym, fitness, pilates, spinning and yoga rooms, a spa with dry sauna, two floodlit tennis courts, a padel court and a football pitch, plus nutrition, beauty and sports-medicine services.
Monthly fees cover a 24-hour gatehouse and security and a private shuttle to and from Montevideo. Streets are paved and there are two entrances. Listings from 2025–2026 show fees of roughly UYU 12,000–22,000 a month depending on the property; vacant lots rarely come up.
