Chacras de José Ignacio is a gated community of small country plots on the high ground of José Ignacio, at Camino Saiz Martínez and Las Garzas. It lies about 1,000 metres from the beaches and the village and borders the Pinar del Faro community. It can also be reached from Camino de las Portuguesas.
It started in 2013 as a trust, with Ricardo Simón as developer. It has 27 plots of about 4,000 m² (one agent mentions 26 lots of 4,000 to 5,000 m²). The plots were allocated by lottery among the 27 trust members, and in 2026 the developer celebrated the end of the road and landscaping works, with every plot already owned. Today plots are sold only on resale; in 2025 a 4,000 m² lot was listed for U$D 360,000.
The community has security services, water, electricity, fibre-optic internet, access roads and landscaping. One agent mentions a planned hotel with a club house, pool and tennis court for guests and owners, but there is no confirmation that it has been built.
It is a small, quiet community for buyers who want a large plot within walking distance of the village. The sources give no information on common charges or building rules.
