About
El Secreto is a small seafront gated community on Playa Mansa in José Ignacio, the sunset coast that is more sheltered from the wind. The project plan shows it on both sides of the Bahía Vik hotel, between Route 10 and the beach. The official site names DF Group as the developer.
The official site describes 40 lots totalling about 65,000 m² (700,000 ft²), each with 30–40 m of ocean frontage. The published plan numbers 41 lots of 1,136 to 2,292 m²: a beachfront row plus a second row in the eastern section. One agent says these lots were specially authorised about 90 m from the water, inside the 150 m coastal strip that is normally protected.
It is a purely residential community: the sources mention no club house or other shared facilities, and the appeal lies in the beachfront and the nearby hotel and La Susana restaurant. Contemporary houses sit on the dunes, some of them let for the season. One was picked by ArchDaily among its notable projects of 2024.
The official plan showed most of the beachfront lots as sold. In 2026 a 2,050 m² lot with 30 m of sea frontage was offered for U$D 2.75 million. The sources reviewed give no common charges or building rules.
