San Isidro Country is a gated community about five minutes from the centre of Mercedes, capital of Soriano department, on the bank of the Río Negro. It borders Club Hotel San Isidro (formerly San Isidro Golf & Yacht Club) on the Ruta 14 exit and is marketed as the only established gated community in the area.
According to the agency selling the last plots, around 60 families already live there. There is a single controlled entrance with 24-hour security, internal roads lined with trees and large green areas with river views. Plots start at about 700 m²; a recent listing asks U$D 88,600 for a lot, with bank financing of up to 50% over 48 instalments.
The golf, tennis, pool, gym, spa and marina belong to the neighbouring club rather than to the community itself: a 9-hole par-60 course, tennis courts, a club house and moorings on the Río Negro. Owners in the country can join as members without paying an entry fee.
A 2026 listing mentions common charges of 8,000 Uruguayan pesos a month. There is no public information on the total area, number of plots or building rules.
It suits families from Mercedes and the region who want to live year-round in a secure, natural setting with water sports and golf close to home.
