Chacras de la Laguna Negra is a country club of coastal farm lots in Punta del Diablo, Rocha. The entrance is on Route 9 at km 298, at the roundabout into the resort town. It lies in the La Angostura area, where Laguna Negra and the ocean come close together, and it borders Santa Teresa National Park. La Viuda beach is about 3 km away; the community has a direct road to it but no beachfront of its own.
It covers about 90 hectares divided into lots of 4,000 to 5,000 m². According to real estate agents it operates as a country club under the horizontal property regime, with access for owners only. The official site listed land at U$D 20 per m² and offered a turnkey housing plan with financing.
Facilities include a tennis court, a football pitch, a playground, a beach club at La Viuda, stables with a riding ring and a bridle path to the beach. There is also a woodland park with more than 20 tree species. Agents mention access control, permanent security, and power, mains water and telephone lines.
The houses built so far are mostly large, over 300 m², with private pools. Shops are not allowed, and the area falls in the low-density zone of the Punta del Diablo plan. It suits buyers who want countryside and sea far from the Punta del Este scene, at Uruguay's eastern end.
